Helping sick children while enjoying down a frosty treat from Dairy Queen on a hot day seems like the perfect marriage.
DQ and SickKids Hospital are inviting residents to help "make miracles a reality" for local children through a special fundraiser next month.
Aug. 10 marks the 21st year where net proceeds from every Blizzard sold will be going to SickKids Hospital, positively impacting children’s health-care treatment.
DQ fans can continue the tradition of helping children and their families by visiting their local DQ to celebrate Miracle Treat Day. The money raised locally stays local. Net proceeds from every Blizzard sold at participating DQ locations will be donated to SickKids Foundation, one of 12 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations across Canada.
In 2022, more than 3.2 million visits to children’s hospitals across Canada were supported by Miracle Treat Day. On average, that's over 8,000 visits per day.
Since the partnership began 39 years ago, in 1984, DQ says it has become a top contributor to the Children's Miracle Network, with more than $48 million raised to date.
