There's still time for high school students to apply for a $1,000 Give Back Award.

Neighbourhood Network awards the cash prize to 20 graduating students from high schools in Aurora, Georgina, King Township, Newmarket and Whitchurch-Stouffville who have demonstrated "an outstanding dedication to community involvement," according to a Neighbourhood Network news release.

“It’s been so encouraging over the last two years of the pandemic to see the creative ways that high school students are volunteering and giving back to their community,” said Erin Cerenzia, manager of community relations. “The Give Back Awards are all about celebrating these unique and positive contributions, and the inspirational ways that students help us build better communities together.”

Applications are available online until 4 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023.

Winners will be announced during National Volunteer Week.
