Here's where to get vaccinated in Newmarket and York Region Oct. 19-26

A new community-based COVID-19 vaccine clinic is opening in Georgina this week. 

The clinic at the Georgina Ice Palace at 90 Wexford Dr. opens on Tuesday, Oct. 19. It will operate Tuesday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

In Newmarket, the community-based clinic at the York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge St. remains open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. 

A number of targeted pop-up clinics are also being held this week. 

In Vaughan, on Thursday, Oct. 21, the RioCentre Thornhill at 1054 Centre St. and Ontario Excavac at 550 Bowes Rd. are hosting clinics from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

In Markham, on Saturday, Oct. 23, a clinic is being held at Chapel Place Presbyterian Church at 8 Chapel Pl. from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

In Richmond Hill, on Sunday, Oct. 24, a clinic will take place at East Beaver Creek Plaza at 155 York Blvd. from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Next week a pop-up clinic is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 356 Sutton, located at 21 East St. in Georgina on Tuesday, Oct. 26. It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Pop-up clinics and community clinics have both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines available for first and second doses. You can walk in or appointments can be made for the community-based clinics through York Region’s website.
