You can support Rose of Sharon while celebrating mom by dining out at State & Main or enjoying high tea at the Hartman this month.

For its third annual For Mom, For Women campaign, State & Main in Aurora is donating $10 to Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers for every fulfilled Mother’s Day reservation between May 4 and 12.

The Hartman Venue is holding an afternoon tea experience on Saturday, May 25 at  11 a.m., with proceeds benefiting Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers.

For Mom, For Women, May 4 to 12

The campaign, which raises funds for non-profits that support women in their communities, aims to raise $40,000 in total from its restaurants in 24 cities across Canada.

In Aurora, donations will support Rose of Sharon’s living and learning program that promotes family health and well-being by providing young families with free, monthly home deliveries of family care packages.

“This year, we are proud to be celebrating the third annual For Mom, For Women campaign, aimed at recognizing and giving back to the women who make our communities thrive," said Richard Homer-Dixon, vice-president and State & Main brand leader. "We acknowledge the crucial role that mothers play as silent heroes in our communities. As a gesture of our appreciation, we want to support local organizations that help women flourish and make our cities better places to live.”

“We are so fortunate to have generous community-minded partners like State & Main who recognize the importance of supporting young mothers who are trying their best to care for their little ones", said Deanne Kukulewich, executive director at Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers. "Support like this makes it possible to provide free practical resources that young moms desperately need like baby food, diapers, parenting and child development workshops. It helps to create a better community and sends a clear message to young mothers that people care about them and the well-being of their little ones."

Guests who want to participate in this campaign can make reservations from May 4 to 12 on State & Main’s website at stateandmain.ca. Reservations often fill quickly.
