A heat warning issued for the region by Environment Canada remains in place today.
The daytime high is expected to be near 30 with the humidex making it feel more like closer to 40.
Affected areas include:
- Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region
- Vaughan - Richmond Hill - Markham
A cold front is expected to bring with it some relief from the heat on Monday after warmer temperatures today and into tonight.
