The Newmarket Public Library wants your feedback as it plans for the future.

You're invited to take the online survey that will help shape the library's strategic plan.

The survey includes questions on how often you used the library before COVID-19 and during the pandemic, as well as how you usually get to the library and when during the week.

You can rate the library in various categories like staff, family friendliness, the physical space, online presence, as well as accessibility and diversity.

The survey also asks about what residents want to see in the future, including new programs and services or amenities like a fireplace, cooking education space, or nursing room.

Respondents are also asked if they think new branches should be built in the future and if so in which ward.

At the end there is a space to submit any other comments or concerns that weren’t covered by the questions.

It will take about 20 minutes to complete.

The confidential survey is being managed by the management consulting firm TCI.

As an incentive to fill it out, respondents have the option to be entered into a draw to win one of five “Choose Local Newmarket”gift certificates.

The options include a number of shops and restaurants in downtown Newmarket, including Ground Burger Bar, Still in Style Resale Boutique, Main Ideas Studio, The Maid’s Cottage and more.

To entered the draw, you will have to submit your full name, email address, and phone number, however, this is optional if you don’t want to participate in the draw.

The deadline to complete the survey is Sept. 12, 2021.
