Members of the Central York Fire Services (CYFS), York Regional Police, York Region Paramedic Services and the Ontario Provincial Police will be at the CYFS Station 4-5 at 300 Earl Stewart Dr. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate International Women's Day and the role that first responders play in keeping the community safe, secure and healthy.

"Learn how they do their jobs and how you could have a career as a first responder, too," CYFS said in a news release.

The event has something for everyone, including:

  • Opportunity to visit with 20+ local and regional organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs who serve York Region and beyond;
  • Demonstrations and equipment tours;
  • Interactive activities, cosplayers;
  • Free giveaways and a chance to win prizes;
