Families with children at YRDSB can apply to join engagement committee

York Region District School Board (YRDSB) is accepting applications for membership on its parent, family and community engagement advisory committee (PEAC).

PEAC supports, encourages and enhances family engagement at the board level to improve student achievement and well-being, a news release said.

The committee represents "the collective voice" of families who have children attending public schools in York Region.

Interested family members can submit an online application form by June 12, 2024 or can request a copy of the form by emailing [email protected] or calling 905-727-0022, ext. 3650.

PEAC members must attend a minimum of five meetings each year. The first meeting date for the new membership is Dec. 5, 2024, which is a joint meeting with the equity and inclusivity advisory committee.
