Employee COVID-19 case confirmed at Newmarket Farm Boy

Farm Boy is reporting an employee with a positive COVID-19 case at its Newmarket store.

The employee at 18075 Yonge St. last worked April 16, according to the company website.

An employee at the Richmond Hill store, who also last worked April 16, has also tested positive.

"Public Health has completed its review and confirmed it was a low risk of transmission. We have completed a cleaning and disinfection throughout the store," according to a website statement.

Other confirmed cases reported by York Region grocery outlets this week include a Zehr's employee at 24018 Woodbine Ave. in Georgina who last worked  April 15.

Employees cases are confirmed for Longo's stores in Stouffville, Richmond Hill and Maple, with respective last days worked being April 13, April 10 and April 12.  

Two Shoppers Drug Mart employees tested positive at the 2140 King Rd. in King, after last working on April 14.
