Bike Day is returning to Newmarket, in a new location with new events, including a parade and a chance to win a bike, on Saturday, June 1.
The free community drop-in event, hosted by Smart Commute and Central York Chamber of Commerce, and presented by Huffy, promises pedal-powered excitement and family fun from 10 to 11 a.m., organizers said in a news release.
After years at Riverwalk Commons, the event is returning to the hamber of commerce at 470 Davis Dr. with activities for all ages, including the bike parade to the farmers market at 11 a.m. and test rides of the latest Huffy bikes.
"Whether it’s mingling with other bike aficionados or hitting the trails, there is something for everyone," organizers said.
Newmarket Cycles will be on site to help with small bike repairs. Plus, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy free refreshments and collect giveaways throughout the event, including a reflective Bike Day drawstring bag, perfect for essentials on biking excursions.
