You can do your part to fight local poverty by bringing your car or light truck to be washed by a team of firefighters on Saturday, May 25 at the Central York Fire Services station in Aurora.
CYFS and the Central York Professional Firefighters Association are hosting their annual car wash in support of the United Way from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Station 4-5, 300 Earl Stewart Dr. in Aurora, across from the Real Canadian Superstore.
Donations of any denomination (cash, credit or debit card) will be accepted to support United Way in our local community.
New this year, the event also features a car seat workshop provided by St. John Ambulance. Certified car seat safety educators will teach you how to install and adjust a car seat as your child grows. Visit them at a table inside the station where they will be available to guide you through the steps and answer questions.
Members of the CYPFFA have volunteered their time to host this fundraising initiative.
In the event of rain, the event will be held on June 1.
