The 50-50 raffle in support of Southlake Regional Health Centre has returned after a successful campaign in the fall.

The hospital foundation held its first community raffle at the end of 2021, with $71,770 in tickets sold.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to making Southlake’s first-ever 50/50 community raffle last month such a huge success,” they said in an email to supporters.

Half of the money went to the hospital and the other half went to the jackpot draw. The winner, Angela F., took home $35,885.

Now tickets are on sale for the second 50-50 raffle.

“Every ticket purchased will help where it is needed most: supporting Southlake’s frontline caregivers with additional resources and equipment they need to deliver leading-edge patient care close to home,” the foundation said.

You can buy three tickets online for $10, 40 tickets for $20, or 200 tickets for $40.

If you purchase before Jan. 31, you’ll be eligible for the early bird draw, which has a prize of $1,000. The deadline to buy tickets for the grand prize draw is Feb. 14 at 11:59 p.m.

The draw will be held on Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.

This is the first of 11 50-50 raffles scheduled to take place throughout 2022.

The jackpot will change based on the number of tickets purchased and will be posted on Southlake’s 50-50 website.
