Community candlelight vigil honours memories of loved ones

The community is invited to the annual holiday candlelight vigil at Roadhouse & Rose to share and honour memories of loved ones on Sunday, Dec. 8.

"Please join us for an evening to rejoice in the upcoming season and share memories of loved ones who have departed us, over food, refreshments and good company," said Juliana Playter, public relations coordinator at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home.

The annual community vigil service hosted by Roadhouse & Rose and Genesis Bereavement Resource Centre, includes cocktails and appetizers, entertainment, prayers, poems and candle lighting.

"Rekindle the traditions and holiday spirit with your families and devout community members under the final days of the waxing December moon," Playter added.

Cocktails and and appetizers are offered from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the service in the chapel from 7 to 8 p.m. at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. South, Newmarket.
