Health and Wellness Fair is promoting a new 3D printed chip clip it has designed for purchase to help fundraise in a time of need for the Food Bank of York Region (FBYR).

With food bank use on the rise, the fundraiser to benefit the FBYR could not have come at a better time and will support the growth of fresh and nutritious healthy food collection, and delivery.

“We plan and coordinate trade shows and corporate events, while raising awareness and funding for non-profit organizations all the time. Since we can no longer have such large gatherings and events, we have found other ways to help the community,” explains Michelle Fisher, health and wellness promoter. “We chose the Food Bank of York Region for our next fundraiser because they are a highly impactful non-profit organization that is doing a lot of great work for our community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They could really use our support, so we plan to give it, and really hope the York Region community does too.”

Health and Wellness is hoping supermarkets and grocery stores will agree to sell the chip clips at their locations across York Region. The chip clip will retail for $2, with $1 of the sale being donated directly to the FBYR. With the added possible promotion of the fundraiser found inside retail stores, more funds could be raised overall for the FBYR, which would make a bigger impact on food insecurity in York Region.

“Michelle’s work is a great example of corporate social responsibility from a small business. Her energy and enthusiasm to help our food bank feed more individuals in York Region is inspiring,” said Alex Bilotta, founder and CEO of the Food Bank of York Region.

“Residents can join her efforts to support The Food Bank of York Region by purchasing her chip clip online, and we hope our local grocery stores will reach out to her about selling them in store for us as well.”

For now, the chip clips can be purchased here with sponsored incentives for individuals to buy and support the FBYR online.
