Mary Riendeau, of Aurora, won $75,000 on Instant Frogger.

Retired retail worker Mary Riendeau of Aurora said she has always loved playing instant games.

Whether crossword or Cash for Life, Riendeau enjoyed getting to scratch for a win.

But she tried a new game more recently — Frogger.

“The store clerk showed me this new game and I decided to get one," Riendeau said. "This is my first big win."

Riendeau won a $75,000 prize with a ticket, travelling to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

She said she was shocked to learn about her big win.

“I checked my ticket at the ticket checker at the store and I couldn’t believe it. I had to scan it again,” Mary said. “I was with my son and he was so happy for me.”

Mary plans to replace her 27-year-old car with her win.

“This has come at a perfect time. I never dreamed this would happen. I’m so happy,” she smiled.

Instant Frogger is available for $3 a play and the top prize is $75,000. Odds of winning any prize are one in 3.72.

The winning ticket was purchased at Regency Variety & Gift Centre on Yonge Street in Aurora.

OLG supports safe play and wants to keep the fun in the game. The organization promotes responsible gambling with its PlaySmart program.
