Valentin Simeonov of Aurora is planning a family vacation after winning a Lotto 6/49 Super Draw prize worth $100,000 in the Dec. 23 draw.
“I was out shopping when I checked my ticket. I couldn’t believe it — I thought it was a mistake,” the 61-year-old regular lottery player said of his first big win. “When I told my wife, she couldn’t believe it either, so we downloaded the OLG app to make sure.”
He also won $50 on his other Lotto 6/49 selections, bringing his total winnings to $100,050.
“I feel happy,” he added.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Yonge Street in Aurora.
