Central York Fire Services report no injuries in the fire in the early hours of May 4 on Beechbrooke Way

A home on Beechbrooke Way was severely damaged by a blaze May 4.

Central York Fire Services put out a massive house fire in Aurora May 4 but nobody was on the property at the time.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Beechbrooke Way at 12:43 a.m. Saturday.

“The structural integrity of the house had been compromised by the fire and the home suffered significant damage,” Central York Fire Services said in an incident report sent May 7.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation but there were no injuries at the time.

Residents reacted to the fire on social media, with video getting posted.
 



“Oh dear,” one resident said. “That’s so scary.”

Central York Firefighters responded with six apparatus, 24 firefighters, and one chief officer. Richmond Hill Fire, York Regional Police and York Region Paramedic Services also attended.
