Congratulations to Bonnie Preston of Aurora for winning $150,000 with THE BIGGER SPIN INSTANT game (Game #2130).
Bonnie, a 58-year-old married grandmother, discovered her win in store with her husband. She uncovered her in-store spin while still at a retailer.
“We watched the wheel spin on the customer display unit and it almost stopped on Big Spin, but then it landed on $150,000,” she shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. “At first I thought it was $15,000 – I was quite thrilled. I was so excited,” she laughed.
“I wanted to phone my kids – at first I’m not sure they believed me. They were thrilled as well,” she smiled.
Bonnie hasn’t made any big plans yet but is planning to share some of her windfall with her kids. “We’re going to use the rest to make some amazing memories and experiences in life with our loved ones,” she said.
“It’s surreal. It’s almost like a dream, something you always hope for,” she concluded.
The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto is now accepting in-person prize claim appointments for winning-ticket holders of $10,000 or more. Appointments for prizes of this value will be granted if requested, however prizes up to $49,999.90 do not have to be claimed in-person and customers are encouraged to continue to mail in these claims when possible. T
o best protect customers and staff, OLG has put in place appropriate health and safety protocols in accordance with guidelines from public health officials, which include physical distancing measures, the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the pre-screening of visitors before granting entry. Future announcements will be made as to when OLG will open appointments to anyone wishing to claim their prize in-person at the Prize Centre.
