Appointments open today for Aurora's pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic

Anyone 12 years of age and older who lives, works or attends school in Aurora is eligible to book an appointment at the May 29-30 clinic

York Region, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, will be offering a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the Town of Aurora on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30. The clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be located at the Aurora Community Centre at 1 Community Centre Lane.

Anyone 12 years of age and older who lives, works or attends school in the Town of Aurora is eligible to book an appointment to receive a vaccine.

Currently, Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized by the Government of Canada for those aged 12 to 17. Individuals must be 12 years old as of the date of their appointment.

Individuals 13 years of age and under require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent at the time of the vaccination. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany their 12 and/or 13-year-old child to the appointment, they then can complete and sign a consent form and send it with the child to the appointment.

This pop-up clinic will be located outdoors. Individuals are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and protect themselves against the sun.
