The African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” speaks to the importance of forming partnerships within families and community to nurture the well-being and success of our children and youth. This conference aims to equip families and students for navigating the schooling experience, forge partnership with community and support the process of mapping the journey to success.

What: Alliance of Educators for Black Students Family Conference

The Alliance of Educators for Black Students (AEBS) is hosting its annual family conference. Students (Grades K -12), staff, families and community members are invited to register. There will be guest speakers, workshops and discussions. This conference aims to support students and families as they navigate the school experience and work toward success.

When: Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
