Ilona and Eric Tomberg of Aurora are still in disbelief that they won $136,341 in the lottery.

Ilona decided to purchase the Poker Lotto All In tickets while her husband was paying for groceries at the Metro on Yonge Street in Newmarket.

"When I saw the winning amount flashing on the screen, I was so excited," she said in an OLG news release. "At first I thought maybe it was an advertisement.”

They won the jackpot worth $131,341.40 on Dec. 9, 2022, and also won $5,000 on the instant portion of their Poker Lotto play, bringing their total winnings to $136,341.40.

The married couple have been playing the lottery since the 1970s, and actually won $10,000 twice last year.

"This is our biggest win," said Eric, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings.

"We still couldn't believe it a week after it happened. I am still in disbelief," Eric said.

"It feels great now that we have this cheque in front of us," Ilona added.

They plan to put this win toward home renovations and share some with their children.
