In celebratation of Pride Month this June, three businesses have partnered with Pflag York Region to support the LGBTQ2 community.

All month long, the York Region businesses are giving a portion of their sales to Pflag.

“When it comes to shopping during Pride, it can be hard to decipher whose in it for the profits and whose in it for the cause,” the organization said in a news release.

One of the businesses they have teamed up with is Lashes & Lipstick in Markham, which is donating 10 per cent of its retail sales to Pflag.

Sugar Mommy Chocolates & Treats in Vaughan, which is selling rainbow pride platters of treats, will donate $20 from the sale of each one to the organization.

Turkey Shoot Brewing Co. in Keswick has launched its “Ice Hut” beer, of which 50 cents from each sale will go to Pflag.

“Pflag York Region takes pride in partnering with businesses who genuinely want to give back to their community,” the organization said. “We are proud to partner with these amazing local businesses and encourage you to shop local this Pride Month.”

York Pride Fest has gone virtual for festivities this year with performances, workshops, and conversations to celebrate and raise awareness for the LGBTQ2 community.
