Re: Farmers join Ford at York farm to call for end of 'awful carbon tax,' April 2, 2024.

I am truly saddened by the fact that Premier Ford neglected to mention that we get a tax rebate from the carbon tax and it is helping the world with the damage from fossil fuels.

"If you're a resident of Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland & Labrador, you'll receive the Canada Carbon Rebate automatically as long as you file a tax return."

I already know of two separate friends (couples) who have received $1,000 back on their tax returns.

It is extremely exasperating that this premier AND Pierre Poilievre are "misinforming" Canadians.  And it is staggering how many people do not understand that they will get a rebate.

Thank you for reading my letter.
