"I try to speak the truth, I try to be transparent and authentic," says Southlake Regional Health Centre's president and CEO when asked how she inspires other women.

Those traits, which were once typically associated with women, are now commonly acknowledged as successful leadership traits, adds Arden Krystal in the video launched today by the Newmarket hospital to mark International Women's Day on March 8.

"Living our purpose, and living our values, that provides inspiration to others to do the same, that's how we ensure we have a culture that can help us to achieve our purpose, (how) we can empower one another to reach our potential," says Jennifer Klotz-Ritter, president and CEO of Southlake Foundation in response to the same question.

The two female leaders reveal their thoughts on leadership, pivotal moments in their careers, their goals for the near future — and their binge-worthy recommendations for television shows.
