While we miss seeing you at Newmarket Public Library during this time of social distancing, don’t forget that you can still access a wide range of library resources through our online library

Books, magazines, streaming music, streaming movies, online courses, and much more are available to you online.

Use your library card to access these resources, and if you don’t have a library card, e-mail us at npl@newmarketpl.ca and we’ll provide temporary online access for you. We’ve also extended expiration dates for recently expired or about to expire cards, and we can renew any other card if you contact us.

Here’s a quick look at some of what you’ll find in our online library:

eBooks

Choose from a wide selection of fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, graphic novels, and more. Look for them under eBooks.

eAudiobooks

Sometimes a great read is something you listen to, especially when narrated by a great voice talent. Enjoy thousands of fiction and non-fiction audiobooks. Look for them under eAudiobooks.

Hoopla

With movie theatres closed during this time, you can catch a movie through Hoopla. Or read a good eBook. Or listen to an eAudiobook. We’ve increased the number of items that you can stream from Hoopla from five a month to eight a month for the rest of March and April. Find Hoopla in our online library under eVideos, eBooks, or eAudiobooks.
