A McDonald's in East Gwillimbury was closed for a thorough cleaning, but has since reopened, after an employee reported on Saturday that they had tested positive for COVID-19.
The McDonald's at 190 Green Lane E. in East Gwillimbury was immediately closed following the news for what the company called "a thorough cleaning and sanitization by a certified third party."
The restaurant has since reopened.
The employee is isolating, as are other crew members who may have been in contact with the employee during their last scheduled shift, which was on Nov. 18 between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The company is advising any guests who may have been in the resaurant on that day to take direction from Ontario Health Services.
