At Character Community York Region, the safety of our staff, volunteers, participants and community members is our top priority. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have cancelled the 2020 Character Community Awards that were to be held on April 22, 2020.
We will be presenting our nominees and winners with certificates of recognition and/or awards, and it is our intention to personally present to our award winners at a later date (May 2020).
Please check our website in near future for a list of all nominee finalists and category winners being recognized for their contribution to a community with great character!
We appreciate your support and look forward to resuming our character development programs and initiatives as soon as it’s safe to do so.
We are a character community in York Region. It is during difficult and challenging times that we all need to draw on our character. By utilizing our character attributes of optimism, initiative, perseverance, respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity, compassion, courage, inclusiveness, fairness and humility, we will navigate through these challenges together and continue to be a safe, inclusive, healthy and prosperous York Region.
