At least 15 people from across the GTA are confirmed positive for COVID-19 after attending events and services at the Miracle Arena For All Nations in Vaughan and Toronto, according to York Region Public Health.

One of the cases is a York Region resident.

The public health units in York Region and Toronto have issued a public notice to assist with contact tracing for anyone who was at Miracle Arena Sunday, Aug. 16 at either 10800 Weston Rd. in Vaughan or 20 Milvan Dr. in Toronto.

All known close contacts of the identified cases have been contacted by public health and directed to self-isolate for 14 days and to go for testing.

The church is notifying members of its community about the potential exposures, as well.

"The church is also working with York Region Public Health and Toronto Public Health to ensure all COVID-19 stage 3 re-opening protocols are in place at their setting, including staff and church attendees wearing masks and practising physical distancing, maintaining complete contact logs and ensuring all infection prevention and control measures are in place," the notice states.
