Newmarket-Aurora federal Liberal candidate Tony Van Bynen marked the official opening of his campaign office with a visit from Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Navdeep Bains, Sunday afternoon.

Former provincial minister of transportation and Ontario Liberal leadership candidate Steven Del Duca also attended the official opening of Van Bynen's campaign headquarters at 12 St. John's Sideroad in Aurora.

Volunteers then joined Van Bynen for an afternoon of canvassing, knocking on more than 500 doors throughout Aurora, according to the campaign.
