ADOPT ME: Playful pup waiting for family with sense of humour

He loves treats and showing off his tricks for you

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Meet Chester B. Field, a one-year-old American Bulldog mix looking for a loving and active home to call his own. Chester came into the care of the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre as a stray and is waiting to meet a new best friend.

Chester is a super goofy and playful pooch who loves everyone he meets – people and dogs alike. We anticipate that he would also do well in a home with kids and cats. He also loves treats and showing off his tricks for you. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is now ready for adoption.

If you’re a family with a great sense of humour and love going for walks, Chester is the pup for you. If you are interested in adopting Chester, please email [email protected]. To see all of the animals available for adoption, visit

If you are not able to adopt at this time but would like to help support animals like Chester, you can participate in Cupcake Day for the Ontario SPCA. Getting involved in Cupcake Day is a piece of cake! Visit to donate and change the lives of animals in need.
