Slim Shady came into the shelter as a stray and was never claimed

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night! I am Slim Shady, but most people just call me Slim. Sometimes I get called Slim Jim, too.

I am about two years young, I came into the shelter as a stray and was never claimed, though my friends here do believe I was someone's dog at one point because I already know "sit, stay and shake."

Being a husky cross means I'm pretty chatty, so I'm looking for a good conversationalist. And maybe someone who likes to run. Ooo, ooo, maybe they have a cottage? I think a cottage would be a lot of fun!

Overall, I'm a pretty easy-going guy and a lot of fun to be around, if I do say so myself.

My friends here at the shelter think I could fit well into just about any home, maybe not an apartment, I think the neighbours might think I'm too chatty, but other than that, I'm good to go.

I can't wait to meet you, this is going to be so fun.

Your new buddy, Slim
