Bonded cats Bijou (left) and Felicity are available for adoption together.

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Meet Bijou (bonded to Felicity).

This sweet madame is as elegant as her name suggests. She is quiet and clean, snuggly once comfortable in her surroundings, loves a good belly rub, and has never quite grown out of her lap-cat phase.

Bijou has a few pounds to shed currently, and she requires a supportive family who can make sure she sticks to her weight-loss goals.

If you think you’re the perfect hype friend Bijou needs in her life — someone to cheer her on and give her ample cuddles along the way — drop by the Leeds Grenville Centre and meet this lovely lady.

Meet Felicity (bonded to Bijou).

This pretty lady may seem shy at first, but she’s just getting used to her new surroundings. She tells us she is actually an expert cuddler, loves to be brushed and looking her best, and won’t say no to sharing your bed with you. She doesn’t even make a fuss when being left home alone; she’ll simply find a sunny spot and take a nap until you return.

Felicity is currently on a weight-loss journey and would appreciate a family willing to keep her on track with her fitness goals.

She’s never lived with dogs before but has grown up with her mama and brother, and would most likely appreciate a peaceful, quiet home where she can relax.
