Know a child interested in a career with animals? Give them the opportunity to unleash their passion for pets by registering now to secure their spot in the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre’s Future Vet Program.
Registration is now open for the program, which runs Saturdays from Oct. 13 to Nov. 10 at the Provincial Education & Animal Centre in Stouffville. The Future Vet One Program is offered for children aged seven to nine years and runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The Future Vet Two Program is offered for children aged 10 to 12 and runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The Future Vet Program will teach children about animals through interactive lessons and hands-on animal experience. Sessions will include special guests to give each child an opportunity to learn and engage in animal welfare.
“This program helps to create healthy pathways for kids and educate them about the importance of animal welfare from a young age,” says Elizabeth Westover, manager, Provincial Education & Animal Centre. “For children who want to be a vet one day, or have a passion for animals, this camp offers a great hands-on opportunity.”
