How Does it Work?
Online setup is fast and easy. To get started, just visit www.security.smartcell.ca to meet with a Security Advisor and unlock all the features. Then:
- CHOOSE YOUR PLAN: Customize a home security system that includes products such as motion sensor, auto-recording security cameras, and door & window sensors.
- CREATE YOUR ALERT: Choose which types of alerts you’d like to receive. Then, if the sensors detect anything unusual around your home, you’ll receive a notification to your phone.
- CHOOSE YOUR RESPONSE: Depending on your plan, you can choose to respond directly to the alert, or to have a professional guard verify the alarm and if needed, contact emergency services.
Customers can test their system and see a product demo by downloading the SmartHome app from the App Store or Google Play.
In addition to a full selection of ‘smart’ security, monitoring and comfort features, TELUS SmartHome Security online also provides secure VPN and dark web monitoring with up to $25,000 in identity theft reimbursement coverage, so you can browse and share securely. “All of our SmartHome Security plans now include TELUS online security at no extra charge, to protect you from fraud and identity theft. So essentially, SmartCell is here to protect your home, identity and family.”
