North Toronto Cat Rescue (NTCR) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing veterinary care to homeless cats and kittens continuously for 35 years.

Being a no-kill facility, our cats and kittens stay with us until they find their fur-ever homes. It is through hard work, saintly patience, and a lot of love and compassion that our volunteers can help these cats transform into “respectable” pets!

Most of our cats have either been evicted from their homes or are children of “evictees”. They arrive after having experienced varying degrees of hardship, both at the hands of uncaring and abusive owners, and while trying to cope on their own out in the hostile street environment, where they suffer hunger, frostbite, injuries – often fatal, and even poisoning – by humans who view them as mere pests.

To help support and continue our mission to help, many more fundraising events supported by the community are critical.

Our event “MEOW’LLOWEEN HAUNT” starts at 7 p.m. at the Newmarket Legion (707 Srigley St.) on Oct. 28. The High Court County Band will be playing LIVE - so bring your dancing Shoes!

Tickets are $30 per person, and we encourage everyone to dress up! There will be prizes for those with the best cat costumes as well as a silent auction, games and 50/50 draws.

Join us for this fantastic evening or purchase a ticket to support the cause if you can’t attend, you are still eligible for door prizes.
