Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking information to assist in identifying next of kin in an ongoing death investigation in the City of Markham.
On Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, York Regional Police were called to a residence on Deverill Court in the City of Markham for a check welfare call. When officers arrived, a 73-year-old woman, who has since been identified as Linda Karki, was found deceased.
The cause of death was determined to be natural and not suspicious. Police have exhausted all investigative avenues to identify next of kin without success.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information that may assist with identifying and contacting her family.
