Yonge Street is closed from 12th to 14th Line for a collision, say South Simcoe Police Service, via Twitter. The collision, between a 'commercial vehicle' and an SUV, took place around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.
At this time, the number of injured persons is not yet known, but reports say at least one person was transported to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, in life-threatening condition.
Avoid the area and find alternate routes, recommend police.
