A 39-year-old Woodbridge man is dead after a multiple-vehicle collision occurred on westbound Highway 401 near Keele Street this afternoon.
According to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt of the Highway Safety Division, a 55-year-old man from Toronto is under arrest and facing charges of impaired driving causing death in the accident that occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Aug 17.
The collectors lanes are closed while the OPP investigation is underway. The express lanes remain open, Schmidt added.
