Woman killed after being struck by truck in her driveway on Davis

The 76-year-old Whitchurch-Stouffville woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital, York Regional Police say

A 76-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle that went off the road on Davis Drive in Whitchurch-Stouffville. 

York Regional Police were called to the area of Davis and Highway 48 at about 3:20 p.m. Nov. 30. 

A blue GMC Sierra truck had gone off the road, striking the woman in her driveway. She was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries there. 

The driver of the truck, a 66-year-old man from Uxbridge, stayed on the scene and sustained minor injuries. 

Investigators are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the truck leading up to the collision to come forward.
