Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking witnesses following a home invasion robbery that occurred in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, shortly before 3 a.m., police were called to a property on Woodbine Avenue south of St. John’s Sideroad, for a report of sound of gunshots. When officers arrived they found a victim on the rural property, a 34-year-old woman, who was not physically injured.

Investigators were advised that shortly after 2 a.m., four unknown men broke into a trailer on the property where the victim was located. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects bound the victim’s hands with zip ties and duct taped her mouth, then demanded cash. The suspects fled on foot.
