Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects following a home invasion in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 shortly before 1:30 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a residence located in the area of Centre Street and New Westminster Drive for a report of a home invasion robbery. When officers arrived, they located a 59-year-old female victim who was suffering from significant injuries. She was transported to hospital.

Officers learned that the victim was alone in her home and answered the door when she heard a knock. Two suspects forced their way into the residence and began hitting her in the head and face with a handgun. The victim was forced into a bathroom while the suspects searched through the home. The suspects fled the area and the victim called police.

Suspect #1 described as:
    •    Male, Black
    •    Tall with a thin build
    •    Wearing black clothing
    •    Carrying a black pistol

Suspect #2 described as:
    •    Female, possibly Hispanic
    •    Black curly hair
    •    Wearing a black coat

Investigators are appealing to anyone with any information to please come forward.
