Officers with the York Regional Police Number 5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are working in conjunction with the Ontario Fire Marshal to investigate a fatal house fire in the City of Markham.
On Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, shortly before noon, police and Markham Fire and Emergency Services were called to a residence on Galbraith Crescent, in regards to a house on fire. A 71-year-old woman was located inside the home and was transported to hospital where sadly, she succumbed to her injuries.
The scene is being held for investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management.
