UPDATE: Missing Thornhill woman safely located

She is reunited with her family, police say

UPDATE, May 26: York Regional Police report Cecilia Chong Myong Chon has been safely located and reunited with her family.

York Regional Police is seeking the public's assistance in locating a 64-year-old Thornhill woman who hasn't been seen since she left her home Monday afternoon.

Cecilia Chong Myong Chon was last seen yesterday at about 1 p.m. at her home on Winding Lane, near Clark and Hilda avenues in Vaughan, according to police.

Her family had gone out for a few hours and when they returned, she was had left, but her car was in the driveway, police said.

She has not returned home and her family members have not been able to locate her. 

She is Korean, 5 feet 2 inches in height, weighs 130 lbs, and has shoulder-length black hair. 

Police said she may have been wearing shorts, with a blue top underneath a buttoned blouse. 

"She is believed to be on foot and may appear disoriented," police said.
