Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of East Gwillimbury.
On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 at 10:20 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a report of a vehicle that had driven off the roadway on Queensville Sideroad East just west of Leslie Street. When officers arrived, they located the driver, a 61-year-old woman from the Town of East Gwillimbury, who was vital signs absent. She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced (deceased).
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
