VIDEO: Stouffville bicycle shop robbed twice in last week

Three bikes with a combined value of $7,000 were taken during break-ins last Thursday and Saturday

Investigators with the #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking any information that may assist with identifying a suspect and locating stolen property following two thefts from a bicycle shop in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. 

On Thursday, March 18, 2020, shortly before 6 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a report of a commercial break-and-enter at a bicycle shop located at 6380 Main Street. When officers arrived, they found entry had been gained through a front window that had been broken. Investigators found that a mountain bike valued at more than $5,000 had been stolen.

On Saturday, March 20, 2020, shortly before 6 a.m., York Regional Police responded once again to the same store. When officers arrived, they found that entry had been gained through the same front window that was broken again. Investigators found that two bicycles, with a combined value of more than $1,000 had been stolen.

Suspect description:

  • Male
  • Wearing all black clothing with face covered with a mask
  • Has a distinct walk with toes pointed out
