VIDEO: Man wanted after bomb threat made from Richmond Hill payphone

The suspect inquired about the phone just prior to the incident last May, according to Crime Stoppers of York Region

A man is wanted by York Regional Police for phoning in a bomb threat from a payphone in Richmond Hill earlier this spring. 

Around 12:30 p.m. on May 17, 2021, the man went into the Don Head Pharmacy, at 1-205 Don Head Valley Blvd. in Richmond Hill, according to the Crime Stoppers of York Region Crime of the Week. 

He inquired about a payphone located outside of the pharmacy and half an hour later, around 1 p.m., a bomb threat was called in from that payphone.

Police did not say who or what was targeted in the threat. 

Surveillance footage from inside the store showed the suspect who is described as an Asian male. 

He has a heavy build and at the time was wearing a black t-shirt with a red and white design on it and black pants.
