Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance to identify three suspects following a shooting in the City of Vaughan.
On Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, shortly after 7 p.m., York Regional Police responded to Vaughan Mills Mall following reports of sounds of gunshots in the parking lot. When officers arrived, witnesses reported that the suspects involved in the shooting had fled the area.
Investigators are releasing video surveillance of three suspects and the vehicle that they used to leave the scene. Anyone with information about the identities of the suspects is asked to come forward to police.
The image of the suspects was captured just prior to the shooting. The video is available for viewing.
Following the shooting, police were notified that a man had attended a hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators believe this same man had been in involved in the earlier incident outside the mall where he was in possession of a firearm. He was later seen with two other men running from the area and fleeing in a vehicle.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident but has not spoken with investigators is asked to come forward. As well, investigators are seeking anyone that may have captured video of this incident on dashcam or video footage from commercial surveillance systems in the area at the time.
