Vaughan homeowner injured after scissor-wielding suspects fake food delivery

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a home invasion robbery that occurred in the City of Vaughan.

On Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were called to a residence on Portage Parkway, north of Highway 7, for a report of a home invasion robbery.

Officers learned that a suspect knocked at the door and stated they had a food delivery. When the door was opened, three male suspects, armed with scissors, forced their way into the residence. The victim received minor injuries and was threatened. The suspects stole cash and fled the scene.

The suspects were described as male, dark skin, 20 to 30 years, wearing dark clothes.
