Two people found dead in Richmond Hill apartment

The York Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating after a woman and a man were found deceased in their apartment in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Monday, March 11, 2019 at approximately 8:40 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a condominium building on Clarissa Drive in the area of Yonge Street and Weldrick Road East, after two people were located deceased in an apartment.

Officers learned that the callers had attended the building after they had been unable to get in contact with two of their family members. When they entered the unit they located both family members deceased inside.

The two deceased have been identified as Sara Cimerman, 68 and Efraim Cimerman, 73, both of the Town of Richmond Hill.

There were no signs of forced entry and at this time investigators do not believe there are any outstanding suspects.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
