Toronto teen, 15, charged in alleged sexual assault at Georgina ski park

The arrest follows an incident in which a child reported an assault in public washroom last Sunday

A 15-year-old male has been charged in the alleged sexual assault incident involving a 10-year-old at The ROC ski park in Georgina. 

York Regional Police said that a 15-year-old male from Toronto was arrested Jan. 13 and has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. 

The identity of the person charged has not been revealed, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada,. 

This follows an incident at the ski park on Jan. 9, when police said a 10-year-old boy had been touched by another male in a public bathroom at the park. 

Any non-consensual touching of a sexual nature is considered sexual assault. York Regional Police encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to report the incident to police. 

There is no statute of limitations for sexual assault and the incident can be reported online
